Are you feeling nervous about your pet’s upcoming surgery?

Bringing a family member in for surgery is never easy. We know exactly what you’re going through because we’re pet owners too. Rest assured that we’ll do whatever it takes to ensure as safe and stress-free a procedure as possible.

Pre-Surgical Care

At Animal Hospital of Lanesville, we recognize that each pet is an individual and therefore requires specialized care that is customized to their unique needs. Please note, we are unable to provide estimates for any surgery (including spay or neuter) without a presurgical exam. If you would like an estimate, please contact us to set up an appointment with our care team.

All of our surgical care begins with thorough preoperative screening, which helps us to reduce the risk of complications for your pet. We’ll also use this time to develop a safe, effective plan to keep your pet comfortable and pain-free – before, during and following surgery.

Surgery

Whether routine or complex, your pet’s procedure will be our highest priority. Surgeries are performed in our clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Drop off is between 8:30-9am. Pick up is typically the same day, usually after 3pm.

When you arrive, our team will be there to ease your mind and help keep your pet calm and relaxed.

Once safely sedated, we will complete the surgery as efficiently as possible. As the doctor works, our dedicated support staff will be present at all times to assist with surgery and closely monitor your pet’s wellbeing.

After Care

After surgery, we’ll gently relocate your pet to our recovery area, where our staff will offer continued comfort and reassurance.

When you arrive to pick up your pet, we will go over our aftercare instructions, including a plan for post-surgical pain management.

Please note, we require a $25 deposit to hold surgery spots. That deposit is then applied to the cost of the procedure.

Bringing your pet in for surgery doesn’t have to be a source of anxiety, especially if you’ve got the right team in your corner. Contact The Animal Hospital of Lanesville today and let’s discuss how we can help with all of your companion’s surgical care needs.

I dropped my puppy off this morning for a small surgery. I felt everyone there had a love for animals and cared for her. I would recommend Animal Hospital of Lanesville.

Staff and veterinarians are very professional and friendly. They were able to work my dog in the same day and they were extremely good with her. Highly recommend.

I loved that they were able to get me in right ght away and the price was unbearable. There was a room for also my grand daughter to play while we waited. And they listened to my concerns. All the staff was nice but the reception could have been a lil more personable. I love this place!!!;

We’ve been going here for years, they really care about their patients and the staff are wonderful. They’ve been essential to keeping my little zoo healthy and happy.

The vet is great, had gone far and beyond for our dog with texting information, emailing, and everything. The place is quaint, comfortable. Very homely. Unfortunately, one vet tech was rather judgemental over our 8 years old female not being spayed and had gone on a long rant about it when we asked on whether or not if it may be connected to our dog's current health issue. It soured the first visit a bit.In hindsight, it is a concern that should have been addressed to the vet instead of the vet tech. The dog had never been pregnant, always supervised, and monitored, and due to her issues starting years ago, we decided to opt out from spaying due to the risk.Other than that treatment, great vet and great visit. We'll make another appointment soon for the dog's vaccination.
