When people get sick or injured, they go to the doctor, discuss their symptoms, and receive the appropriate care. With pets, it’s not always this straightforward. Because our animal friends can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.
What’s more, many animals are very adept at masking the signs of illness, allowing it to progress and worsen undetected. Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can vastly improve the chances of a positive outcome.
At Unleashed Veterinary Care, we are able to perform a variety of basic diagnostic tests in-house, including x-ray imaging, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, ear mite tests, and more. We also offer on-site ultrasound performed by a specialist who comes right to our clinic.
For other types of diagnostic testing, we have a relationship with an outside laboratory to which we send out the following:
- Fecal checks
- Urine tests
- Bloodwork panels
- Cytology
Specialty referrals are also available as needed.
